How we do things

Step one
Step 1: Cleaning
The base material to be powder coated needs to be cleaned to remove all excessive dirt,oil,grease, and grime from the part.
These need to be brushed, scrubbed or clothed wiped to get good results and to avoid bath pretreatment spoilage.

Step 2: Pretreatment
The pre-treatment process is a 7 or 8 tank process where the degreasing, phosphate or chromate coating and passivation is done.
This varies based on the composition of the metal to be powder coated and end customer specifications.

Step 3: Powder coating
The already pre-treated component is dry cleaned and powder is sprayed electrostatically on to the article in an enclosed dust free chamber. There are various types of powders like pure epoxy,epoxy polyester,pure polyester etc.

The powder coated articles are then moved to the oven for curing at the required temperatures as specified by the powder manufacturer or as required for the article to be cured well and
to bond with the base metal so as to achieve the desired finish.

Bisco group was founded by late Mr.M.M.Haniff and he has been the Chief Architect of Bisco Group of Companies.
Mr. M.M.Haniff carried and brought with him an experience of more than 45 years in the manufacturing segment and has been very active in overseeing major operations of the Group. Bisco group of company’s main area of operations is Surface finishing and protective coating on any metals.

Powder coating is the process of applying a dry powdered paint compound made of pigments, specialized resins and fillers that melt and fuse together during the curing process to form a painted finish. The solid powder particles are electrostatically charged when exiting the low-velocity air powered spray gun. This electrostatic charge attracts paint particles to the work surface and holds them during the high temperature curing process which can exceed 200 degrees.
Powder coating produces an attractive, durable, high-quality finish, which serves to increase the life of your product. Powder coated surfaces are more resistant to chipping, scratching, chemicals, fading, and general wear and tear than other finishes.
Surfaces that are powder coated are less likely to scratch, chip or fade than paint or other finishes and are more resistant to wear and tear over time. Powder coating is also more environmentally friendly than liquid paint, since no solvents are used in the process and no pollutants are released into the air. Powder coating finishes last much longer than liquid paint applications, and only require a single application.
Special high temperature masking can be applied to most surfaces such as threading or tolerance areas to avoid coating. We may also use high temperature silicone plugs to protect galleries, threaded holes or shafts as needed.
Turnaround time can vary throughout the year, since we are very busy in the spring and fall. We work with our customers to operate within their schedules, to insure timely completion of their orders.
